Did you ever get this installed? If not, and you really want to try it, try to install again and wait it out. Hung in the same spot on my 32bit Win 7 machine, and I was sorely tempted to kill the process but it eventually continued. Don't know how long I waited - maybe 5-10 mins (or too long, ha). Didn't have the same problem on my x64 install.
